How long should I run my pool pump/ pool filter?​ ​

The basic rule is that the more you filter your pool water the cleaner and clearer your pool will be. So why don't you just let your pool pump run all day and night? Because the more it runs the faster your equipment will break down. Here is how we set up all your pools we take care of. Summer or hot weather we run the pool pump for about ten to twelve hours a day. During the winter or cooler weather we run our pool filters eight hours a day. We run it eight hours because most pool pumps will circulate all the pool water twice in an eight hour period. ​
