Maintaining a pools chlorine and pH

Maintaining pool chemicals such as chlorine and pH will keep your pool free from harmful germs, algae, and if balanced right your pool won’t give you dry skin or burn your eyes. You should check your pool chemicals at least once a week once unless your pool is being used everyday then you should check it every day. Your free chlorine should be set at 1.0 ppm and our pH should be between 7.2 and 7.8. The perfect pH level is 7.4 which is the same pH level as a human tear. Too high or too low of a pH can slow down the chlorine's ability to clean the pool, and may also encourage bacteria growth and reproduction.
