Our Lifeguard Training
Our lifeguard training is a full three-day training. Prior to meeting, each lifeguard trainee will need to watch all of the Red Cross video links sent to them. These videos will include basic lifeguard skills, CPR/AED, and first aid. The Red Cross videos will help our potential lifeguards get an idea of the skills that they will be learning hands-on while they are enrolled in the lifeguard training. Once the lifeguard training begins, we will be going in to depth with all of the skills watched in the lifeguard videos. We will be in the water demonstrating, and then practicing lifeguard saves until the lifeguard trainees know them perfectly. This will prepare the lifeguard trainees for the tests that will certify them with the Lifeguard certification through Red Cross (if passed). We will actually be learning CPR on dummies. When (and if) the tests are passed, each lifeguard trainee will be certified in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer through Red Cross. We will also be going over a lot of different first aid skills such as bee stings, heat stroke, seizures, etc. These skills will certify the lifeguard trainee in First Aid for the First Responder (if the test are passed). The three-day lifeguard training is intense, but we do provide you with all of the tools needed to successfully get your certifications and become a great lifeguard.
