Four Steps to every rescue- Red Cross four most important steps to any save!

This video goes over the four most important steps to every save. Step one is Survey the Scene. This means you need to check your surroundings to make sure that you are not going to become a victim yourself. Step two is PPE, which stands for personal protective equipment. Other words this means putting on gloves. Step three is Shout, Tap, Shout. You need to make sure that is person actually needs help. Step four is Calling 911. point to someone and have then call, let them know that they need to come back to let you know that 911 is on their way. When you are training to be a lifeguard or a swim instructor / swim teacher you will have to know this and will have to demonstrate this during the test.
